How to choose a TRAIL power station
TRAIL stations are built for people who count every ounce. They are ultralight, DC-only power banks with large capacity for their weight: the TRAIL 200 offers 192Wh at about 4 lb, the TRAIL Plus 300 offers 288Wh at about 5 lb, and the TRAIL 300 offers 288Wh at about 5.7 lb.
Because they are DC-only, TRAIL stations power phones, cameras, headlamps, laptops that charge over USB-C and other DC devices. They are not meant for wall-plug AC appliances. If you need AC outlets, look at the RIVER series instead.
TRAIL stations charge over USB-C, reaching roughly 80 percent in about an hour. The TRAIL 200 and TRAIL 300 do not include a dedicated AC charger, so plan how you will recharge before you leave. A small portable solar panel is a good match for multi-day trips.
Pick the TRAIL 200 for lightweight hiking and short trips, the TRAIL 300 for group camping or tailgating where weight matters less, and the TRAIL Plus 300 for tent camping where you want the extra capacity at a lower carry weight.
