How to choose a DELTA power station

DELTA is the all-rounder series, built for home backup, road trips and everyday use. Our DELTA lineup falls into three capacity tiers: about 1,024Wh with 1,800W output (DELTA 2, DELTA 3 Classic, DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus), 2,048Wh with 2,400W to 3,000W output (DELTA 2 Max, DELTA 3 Max, DELTA 3 Max Plus), and 3,072Wh with 3,600W output (DELTA 3 Ultra and Ultra Plus).

The 1,024Wh tier is enough to keep a router, laptop, lights and a mini-fridge running through a typical short outage, or to power tools at a job site. The 2,048Wh tier gives you roughly double the runtime and more output for larger appliances. The 3,072Wh tier is aimed at apartments and small homes that want longer backup.

Several models are expandable, which means you can add extra batteries later instead of buying a bigger station now. For example, the DELTA 3 Plus expands up to 5kWh and the DELTA 3 Max Plus up to 10kWh. The DELTA 3 Classic is the budget entry to the 1,024Wh tier.

To size a backup, list the appliances you want to keep running, add up their watts, and estimate how many hours you need. Divide your total watt-hours by the combined watts to get an approximate runtime, then leave a margin of about 15 to 20 percent for conversion losses.

Frequently asked questions

Which DELTA is best for home backup?

It depends on your essential loads and how long an outage lasts. A 1,024Wh model suits a router, laptop, lights and a small fridge for a few hours. A 2,048Wh model gives longer runtime and more output. If you are unsure, send us your appliance list and we will help you size it.

What does expandable mean on a DELTA?

Expandable models accept extra batteries that raise the total capacity, for example up to 5kWh on the DELTA 3 Plus and up to 10kWh on the DELTA 3 Max Plus. Extra batteries are listed on our accessories page with the models they fit.

How fast do DELTA stations charge?

Charging speed varies by model. The DELTA 3 Classic charges to 80 percent in about 45 minutes and fully in about 60 minutes from a wall outlet, and several other models reach a full charge in around 90 minutes. Each product page lists the exact figure.

Can a DELTA run a refrigerator?

Many household refrigerators can run on DELTA stations because the output ratings are high enough, but the start-up surge and the fridge's daily energy use matter. Check the fridge's rated watts and use the runtime formula above.
